Nigerian music star Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel, popularly known as Mayorkun, has revealed the advice he received from his elder brother after opening up to him about his struggle to find a good woman to marry.
Speaking on a recent episode of the Uncut podcast, Mayorkun said his elder brother told him that not approaching women in broad daylight could be why he was yet to find the right woman to marry.
Mayorkun said he agreed with the advice because he believes that a responsible woman should not keep late nights.
“I told my big bro I have been struggling to find the right woman to marry, and he asked me a simple question: ‘When was the last time you spoke to a girl in broad daylight?’
“You can’t be a responsible girl and still be outside by 1 a.m.,” the singer said.
The Mayor of Lagos crooner also recalled how a woman he once asked out on a date claimed not to know him or his music but mistakenly sang one of his old songs word for word when it came on the radio during their second date.
He said fake lifestyles and pretence had made it difficult to find the right life partner.
